LIS translations, a NYC-based company, has been awarded a government contract with ICE (Immigration and Custom Exchange). This work includes audio and visual translations. The hours of work are adjustable to fit your schedule, and occur per diem (as needed). This job is contracted, and the compensation is based hourly, for as long as the assignment disbursed lasts. Hours can be accumulated up to 40 per week, should you prefer, and pay periods are every two weeks.
Furthermore, we do require at least a minimum background investigation (if you've ever been processed through eQIP chances are that you qualify), U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien and previous Title III monitoring experience or anything equivalent to that (such as legal interpretation, transcription or translation). Additionally you must also possess certification such as RID, ATA, US or State Courts, FBI, US Department of State, or the like. If you do not, you must pass a foreign language proficiency exam.
