Gallaudet First Year Study Tour to Costa Rica

I'm on board with Gallaudet University as part of their kick butt trilingual team of interpreters for a study tour to Costa Rica. It's the first night with all of the students and staff. Getting here was a big giant mess for me. But it is amazing. I have to steal moments to take pics because unfortunately Im working but you can see the Gally blog, posting will begin tomorrow. http://admissions.gallaudet.edu/studytour/2011/days/01.asp  There's a media team here with us to document the whole experience.

One of tomorrows speakers is the first deaf person to attend and the first deaf to ever graduate from the University of Costa Rica. Fany is now a professor. That's amazing. She is one of five Jewish-Deaf in the entire country. I am looking forward to her presentation tomorrow.
The team of trilingual interpreters are here to facilitate communication between Gally students and staff and On-site Spanish speaking hearing staff as well as tour guides. How often do trilingual ever get an opportunity to team? It's incredible!
