Hello All,
It's your friendly neighborhood cyber stalker. Last month was the first interpreted service for our group and it was awesome. It seemed much easier for me personally to interpret church services in Spanish to ASL than from English to ASL. The church is more like a classroom setting in which they study and discuss the bible. The "teacher" speaks at a slow pace and the message was easy to follow.
The deaf client has asked to meet the second Sundays so that he is still able to go to his home church the remaining Sundays of the month. The next Sunday we will be at Iglesia La Resurreccion will be March 13 at 10:00 a.m. The required dress is conservative no jeans and t-shirts. The women at the church wear dresses or skirts and the men wear suits or dress shirts with ties. The church is located as follows:

This is a comfortable place to gather experience and build your skill set. The church goers are very curious as to how we communicate and are very friendly and welcoming. So I encourage you to come, participate and develop yourself.
